GAELIC ALE
Highland Brewing, Asheville’s first of many Craft Breweries, touts its Gaelic Ale as Ashville’s FIRST BEER. As the first among many great beers, Highland Brewing could not have picked a finer selection than an ale.
STYLE – ALE
Ales come in many varieties from the very hoppy India Pale Ale to very light white ales. Given the name, Gaelic Ale, I am guessing that Highland Brewery is shooting for a brew in the Scottish Ale tradition. Scottish ales are known for the sweetness of the malts with slight bitters from subtle hops.
BREWERY
Highland Brewery, established in Asheville, North Carolina in 1994.
